Gray Stone
i stood there
silent
head bowed
unmoving
feeling the cold breeze on my face
memories came
wave after wave
vivid memories
again reality struck me hard
indeed he is gone
i stood there
trying to contain what i'm feeling
but the tides were too strong
tears started flowing from my eyes
i stood there
looking at the gray stone
one day we will meet again in heaven
but for now, i will just let the tears flow

Blue Shutters
The room is filled with shadows
The sky is winter gray
On the heart are cold ashes
-Warmth of the other day
Outside are fresh flowers
Unlike the ones here beside me
A reminder of the season's life
The what will stay to be
There's a thought rising on the horizon
Giving life to the sleepy hue,
A thought once mine, now out in the spring
-A lovelier sight than what I knew
Now I realize it's the sun
My eyes move slowly away
Letting down the shutters
-I live for another day
